There was no surprise in Mount Waverley where 17th ranked Waverley Falcons (1-4) were defeated by eighth ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (3-2) 79-73 on Tuesday. Diamond Valley Eagles dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Waverley Falcons' 34. The best player for the winners was forward BJ Symons (-1998) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. American Mandrell Worthy (191-1996, college: Azusa Pacific) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Worthy is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Diamond Valley Eagles' coach Trevor Lee used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Dillon Stith (201-1992, college: St.Vincent) who recorded 20 points and 7 rebounds and forward Tristan Forsyth (208-1998, college: CBU) added 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively.
