Regular Season Round 16: Kilsyth C. - Diamond V.E. 80-89

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Diamond Valley Eagles and 11th ranked Kilsyth Cobras had identical 4-4 record. But Kilsyth Cobras were not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Greensborough 89-80 on Saturday night. Diamond Valley Eagles dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Kilsyth Cobras' 30. Naturalized Sudanese forward Ngor Manyang (200-1993) fired 26 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!) for the winners. Forward BJ Symons (-1998) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Jamie Ahale (196-1999, college: UIC) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Benjamin Ursich (196-1996, college: Augusta) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Diamond Valley Eagles (5-4) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Kilsyth Cobras lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
