Everything went according to plan in Melbourne where leader Devils (11-0) outleveled 6th ranked Camberwell (3-8) 103-69 on Saturday. Devils outrebounded Camberwell 43-31 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Camberwell's players. American guard Amanda Paschal (170-1996, college: Kentucky) stepped up with a triple-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners and center Dyani Ananiev (186-2004) chipped in 33 points (!!!) and 5 steals. Worth to mention Paschal played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. At the losing side Eleni Valos responded with 24 points and Lithuanian guard Saule Kontautaite (175-1989, college: W.Illinois) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Devils. They maintain first place with 11-0 record. Camberwell lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Kilsyth LC. Devils will meet league's second-placed Boomers in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Camberwell will play against Cougars (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
