Very predictable result in Wollongong where third ranked Comets (10-2) beat 15th ranked Hawks (2-10) 82-70 on Saturday. The former international point guard Shyla Heal (167-2001, agency: LBM Management) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and power forward Jada Crawshaw (184-2004) chipped in 16 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side guard Ella Dent (170-2002) responded with 21 points and 7 assists and Argentinian center Emilia Garcia Leon (182-1994) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Hawks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Comets. Despite that victory Comets went down to fourth position due to points difference. Loser Hawks dropped to the fourteenth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Hills H.. Comets will meet league's second-placed BA CoE in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hawks will play against Bulls (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
