No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Magic (8-2) crushed 8th ranked Eagles (5-8) in Morley 86-46 on Saturday. Magic forced 21 Eagles turnovers and outrebounded them 45-33 including 31 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Eagles' players. Forward Hannah Hank (188, college: Clemson) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Carly Boag (188-1991, college: Minot St.) supported her with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Four Magic players scored in double figures. Even 12 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists by Polish point guard Sylwia Bujniak (170-1996) did not help to save the game for Eagles. Sarah Allen added 9 points for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Magic have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser Eagles dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Sandringham S.. Magic will meet at home Flames (#6) in the next round. Eagles will play against Lightning and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
