Everything went according to plan in Mt Gambier where third ranked Knox Raiders (9-4) won against 8th ranked Mount Gambier Pioneers (6-5) 77-63 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of American Wayne Stewart Jr (201, college: A&M-Commerce) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Mason Peatling (203-1997, college: EWU) who added 14 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. American forward Leonard Harper-Baker (196-1996, college: Southern Miss) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 18 rebounds and naturalized French swingman Julian Pesava (193-1995, college: WBU) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Knox Raiders moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Mount Gambier Pioneers lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Knox Raiders will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Mount Gambier Pioneers will play against Kilsyth Cobras (#15) and hope to secure a win.
