There was no surprise in Goodwood where bottom-ranked Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (0-11) were crushed by third ranked Forestville Eagles (8-3) 111-75 on Saturday. Forestville Eagles dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Noarlunga City Southern Tigers' 40. Forestville Eagles forced 24 Noarlunga City Southern Tigers turnovers and outrebounded them 45-29 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forestville Eagles looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Noarlunga City Southern Tigers' players. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized South Sudanese forward Malith Machar (198-1999, college: Midland CC) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and forward Owen Hulland (213-1999, college: Hawaii) who added 20 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
