Not a big story in a game in Perth where 12th ranked Redbacks (1-10) were rolled over by eighth ranked Senators (5-5) 87-58 on Friday. The best player for the winners was guard Stacey Barr (173-1992, college: Idaho) who scored 51 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Forward Mackenzie Clinch-Hoycard (191-1998, college: Hawaii) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Lauren Scherf (196-1996) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and forward Brooke Malone (185-2003, college: Idaho) added 12 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Senators moved-up to seventh place. Redbacks lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with ten games lost. Senators will meet at home league's second-placed Cougars in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Redbacks will play against Hawks (#6) in Floreat and hope to win that game.
