There was no surprise in Canberra where 13th ranked Panthers (3-11) were outplayed by tenth ranked Nationals (6-7) 93-48 on Saturday. Nationals forced 23 Panthers turnovers and outrebounded them 47-28 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Panthers' players. The best player for the winners was forward Isabelle Bourne (188-2000, college: Nebraska) who scored 30 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Lizzy Tonks (173, college: CSUN) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Nationals players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Megan Jefferson (190, college: Hawaii) who recorded 15 points and forward Chloe Williams (190-2005, college: Tulsa) added 9 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nationals have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with McKinnon C. and Townsville F. Panthers lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
