Regular Season Round 15: BA CoE - Newcastle F. 76-82

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Canberra where second-best BA CoE (12-2) was defeated by third ranked Falcons (12-2) 82-76 on Sunday. Strangely BA CoE outrebounded Falcons 49-36 including 17 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Nicole Munger (180-1997, college: Michigan) who scored 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Mykea Gray (163-1998, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 9 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was center Isla Juffermans (191-2005) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Jayda Clark (183-2005) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Four BA CoE players scored in double figures. Falcons moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated BA CoE. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
