Regular Season Round 22: Melbourne Uni - Sunbury J. 94-100

There was a minor upset when much higher ranked Melbourne Uni (9-5) lost at home to fifth ranked Jets (10-2) 100-94 on Sunday. American forward Trevon Clayton (198, college: FPU) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and the other American import guard Ishmael Sanders (188, college: C-N) supported him with 36 points (!!!) and 5 steals. Even a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds by forward Joel Rimes (196) did not help to save the game for Melbourne Uni. Nicholas Masunda (188-1985) added 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for lost side. Five Melbourne Uni players scored in double figures. Jets have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Loser Melbourne Uni dropped to the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Nunawading S. and Keysborough C.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
