There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Roar (0-14) lost to eighth ranked Dolphins (9-6) in Brisbane 69-81 on Friday. Dolphins dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Roar's 32. American guard Jennifer Coleman (175-1998, college: Navy) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and forward Shaneice Swain (175-2003) accounted for 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Dolphins players scored in double figures. Dolphins' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Lilly Rotunno (170-2004) came up with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and American center Angela Beadle (190-1993, college: SHSU) added 18 points respectively for Roar in the defeat. Dolphins moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Maitland M. Loser Roar still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Dolphins will meet at home Flames (#9) in the next round. Roar will play against Sunshine CP (#15) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
