There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Jets (3-11) defeated 4th placed Cougars (6-8) in McKinnon 75-60 on Saturday. Jets forced 21 Cougars turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Jets made 7 blocks. Chloe Hildebrand nailed 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and Greek center Dimitra Gkizani (190-2000, college: RWC) accounted for 17 points and 10 rebounds. Four Jets players scored in double figures. American forward Briana Gray (178, college: Weber St., agency: DC Sports) came up with 19 points and 8 rebounds and guard Emily Suckling (168, college: California, PA) added 16 points respectively for Cougars in the defeat. Cougars' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jets moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Camberwell and Goldfields G. Loser Cougars keep the fourth position with eight games lost. Jets will meet higher ranked Suns (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
