Very predictable result when second ranked Falcons (12-3) won against 14th ranked Chargers (6-10) in Mount Waverley 67-58 on Sunday. Power forward Carley Ernst (196-1994) nailed 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and Maddi Utti accounted for 16 points and 9 rebounds. Falcons' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Paige Bradley (178-1994, college: Denver) came up with 18 points and 6 assists and the other American import guard Cori Coleman (173-1993, college: CSU) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Chargers in the defeat. Falcons maintains second place with 12-3 record having just three points less than leader Wyndham D., which they share with Norths B. and Willetton T. Loser Chargers dropped to the thirteenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Kilsyth LC and Launceston T.. Falcons will meet Cavaliers (#19) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Chargers will play against Spectres (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
