Very predictable result when third ranked Flames (8-5) rolled over 9th ranked Mavericks (1-12) in Marden 95-73 on Sunday. Flames forced 26 Mavericks turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Guard Alex Wilson (181-1994) nailed 23 points and 9 assists for the winning side and Sharna Thompson accounted for 20 points and 6 assists. Power forward Olivia Bradley (183-2005) came up with 27 points and 8 rebounds and Airlie Ramsey added 11 points and 8 assists respectively for Mavericks in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Flames maintains third place with 8-5 record having nine points less than leader Wyndham D., which they share with Brisbane C. Mavericks lost third consecutive game.
