Very expected game in Floreat where 5th ranked Hawks (10-6) were crushed by first ranked Cougars (14-1) 83-44 on Saturday. Cougars held Hawks to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.2 percent accuracy of the winners. Cougars forced 23 Hawks turnovers. The best player for the winners was Danish swingman Sarah Mortensen (185-1997, college: Villanova) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Jewel Williams (168-2001) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. Four Cougars players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Madeleine Dennis (186-1997, college: Dayton) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Danika Pisconeri (183-1991) added 4 points and 12 rebounds respectively.
