Rather expected game in Brisbane where bottom-ranked Roar (0-15) was defeated by fourteenth ranked Sunshine CP (3-12) 81-73 on Sunday. Sunshine CP forced 20 Roar turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Alex Wittinger (185-1997, college: Illinois) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds. The former international Kathleen Macleod (167-1986) chipped in 16 points and 9 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Donica Cosby (172-1988, college: Okla City) who recorded 27 points and 4 assists and guard Lilly Rotunno (170-2004) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Sunshine CP moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Roar still closes the standings with 15 games lost. They share the position with SW Slammers. Sunshine CP will meet at home Meteorettes (#15) in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
