We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Maitland where seventh ranked Mustangs (11-7) won against 6th ranked Sharks (12-6) 81-68 on Saturday. Mustangs looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for forward Shakera Reilly (178-1999) who led her team to a victory scoring 27 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Sydney Hunter (183-1999, college: San Diego) helped adding 12 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists. At the losing side forward Madeleine Norris (188-1998) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and Olivia White produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Mustangs. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Perry Lakes H. and Darwin S. Loser Sharks dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Mustangs will meet Panthers (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sharks will play against Lady Bandits (#8) in Albury and hope to secure a win.
