Regular Season Round 19: Bulleen B. - Camberwell 100-39

There was no surprise in Bulleen where 7th ranked Camberwell (3-13) was crushed by second ranked Boomers (14-2) 100-39 on Sunday. Boomers dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Camberwell's 30 and made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Boomers forced 35 Camberwell turnovers and had a 26-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Olivia Bontempelli (179-1993) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Amy Baum (170, college: USF) helped adding 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Boomers players scored in double figures. Boomers' coach Mason Rogers felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Eleni Valos responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and Victoria Sumskas produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Boomers. They maintain second place with 14-2 record having six points less than leader Wyndham D. Camberwell lost their eleventh game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with 13 games lost. They share it with SC Phoenix. Boomers will meet at home Hume City Broncos (#6) in the next round. Camberwell will play against Jets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
