Everything went according to plan in Cheltenham where seventh ranked Sabres (11-8) won against 15th ranked Chargers (7-12) 89-71 on Sunday. They outrebounded Chargers 50-29 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Georgia Pineau (185-1997, college: Boston Coll.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Klara Wischer (190-1991, college: San Diego) helped adding 14 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Four Sabres players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Paige Bradley (178-1994, college: Denver) responded with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and Sarah ONeill scored 16 points. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Sabres. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Ringwood H. Loser Chargers keep the fifteenth position with 12 games lost. Sabres will meet at home league's leader Lady Braves in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Chargers will play against Thunder (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
