There was no surprise in Melbourne where 17th ranked Tigers (5-16) were crushed by twelfth ranked Lady Cobras (9-12) 89-65 on Friday. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Alisia Jenkins (186-1994, college: S.Florida) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and Nikita Young who added 19 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Lady Cobras players scored in double figures. Lady Cobras' coach felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Samantha Simons (188-2000, college: SMC) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and Tylah Hooper scored 16 points. Lady Cobras maintains twelfth position with 9-12 record, which they share with Launceston T. Tigers lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth place with 16 games lost.
