There was a minor upset in Dandenong where 10th ranked Knox Raiders (9-11) were defeated by twelfth ranked Rangers (10-11) 79-62 on Sunday. Rangers looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Amber Smith (180-1998, college: Missouri) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import power forward Sarah Boothe (195-1990, college: Stanford) who added 19 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Forward Alicia Froling (190-1996, college: SMU) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and guard Emily Fisher (170, college: TCU) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Rangers moved-up to tenth place. Knox Raiders lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Rangers will meet Cavaliers (#18) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Knox Raiders will play against the league's leader Lady Braves (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
