There was a small surprise in Wendouree where tenth ranked Ballarat Miners (11-11) won against 8th ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (12-10) 105-87 on Sunday. Ballarat Miners forced 23 Diamond Valley Eagles turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Tyler Rudolph (198-1996, college: Minot St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points and 16 rebounds and naturalized British swingman Adam Thoseby (197-1991, college: GSW) who added 28 points and 5 assists during the contest. Thoseby is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Swingman Joel Capetola (194-2001) responded with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and center Ben Allen (211-1986, college: SMC) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Ballarat Miners have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain tenth position with 11-11 record. Diamond Valley Eagles lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Hobart C..
