There was no surprise when 19th ranked Dandenong Rangers (4-18) were crushed at home by first ranked Knox Raiders (17-4) 112-87 on Sunday. Knox Raiders made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard KJ Feagin (185-1997, college: SDSU) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 4 assists and the other American import Wayne Stewart Jr (201, college: A&M-Commerce) who added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Knox Raiders players scored in double figures. Knox Raiders' coach Matthew Nunn felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Jack Roberts (196-1999, college: SVSU) responded with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Lawson Eales (197-1999) scored 13 points. Knox Raiders have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-4 record. Dandenong Rangers lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the eighteenth place with 18 games lost. Knox Raiders will meet at home Bendigo Braves (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dandenong Rangers will play against Cavaliers (#19) in Cranbourne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
