Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Bruins (11-10) won against on the road 12th ranked Bulls (5-15) 78-68 on Friday. Bruins looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Britney Wright (178-1994, college: Alabama St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and her fellow American import guard Violet Morrow (176-1997, college: EWU, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Worth to mention Wright played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. Four Bruins players scored in double figures. Bruins' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Mikaela Dombkins (181-1986) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international point guard Leilani Mitchell (165-1985, college: Utah) added 23 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Bulls in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Bruins. They moved-up to ninth place. Loser Bulls dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost. They share it with East Perth E.. Bruins will meet league's second-placed Falcons in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bulls will play against Panthers (#14) and hope to secure a win.
