American guard Amanda Paschal (170-1996, college: Kentucky, agency: DC Sports) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Jamilee Pearce accounted for 14 points and 5 rebounds. Paschal is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Devils' coach Gerard Hillier used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Catelyn Van Es came up with 23 points (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and Ally Keating added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Boomers in the defeat. The victory was the eighteenth consecutive win for Devils. They maintain first place with 18-0 record, which they share with Sturt S. Loser Boomers keep the second position with three games lost. They share it with Willetton T.. Devils will meet Hume City Broncos (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Boomers will play against Suns (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
