Regular Season Round 21: Willetton T. - Mandurah M. 81-69

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Magic (11-8) lost to third ranked Tigers (15-3) in Willetton 69-81 on Saturday. Tigers outrebounded Magic 44-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international swingman Alexandra Sharp (182-1997, college: Wake Forest) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and Bosnian Melisa Brcaninovic (193-1999) accounted for 29 points. Forward Hannah Hank (188, college: Clemson) came up with 18 points and 5 rebounds and American-American Samoan power forward Sarah Toeaina (185-1996, college: Hawaii) added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Magic in the defeat. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Tigers. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Bulleen B. Magic lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Perry Lakes H. and Darwin S.. Tigers will meet Slammers (#13) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Magic will play against Lightning (#9) and hope to secure a win.
