Very predictable result in Morphett Vale where first ranked Bearcats (15-3) smashed bottom-ranked Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (0-18) 105-81 on Saturday. Bearcats outrebounded Noarlunga City Southern Tigers 49-35 including 20 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The best player for the winners was Lachlan Olbrich (208-2003, college: UC Riverside) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Hamish Staude (183-1990) chipped in a triple-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Alexander Dickeson (-2007) who recorded 28 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and American center Anthony Green (208-1996, college: Northeastern) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Five Bearcats and four Noarlunga City Southern Tigers players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Bearcats. They maintain first place with 15-3 record. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers lost their eighteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 18 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
