Everything went according to plan in Sydney where Kings (4-1) beat Perth Wildcats (2-3) 99-86 on Sunday. Kings made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Kings outrebounded Perth Wildcats 52-33 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Jonah Bolden (208-1996, college: UCLA) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds. Center Jordan Hunter (208-1997, college: SMC) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds. Five Kings players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Bryce Cotton (182-1992, college: Providence, agency: Pensack Sports) who recorded 22 points and the former international power forward Keanu Pinder (210-1995, college: Arizona) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kings will meet at home JackJumpers (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
