Comets ' fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Bulls (1-5) 75-56 on Friday. Sydney C. forced 29 Inner WB turnovers. American guard Davida Dale (180-1997, college: URI) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 8 steals for the winning side and forward Piper Anderson (180-2003) accounted for 17 points. Five Comets players scored in double figures. American forward Piath Gabriel (196, college: UMass, agency: DC Sports) came up with 17 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Margaret Robinson (185, college: Shelton St. CC) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Inner WB in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Comets (1-3) left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Bulls dropped to the fourteenth position with five games lost.
