Regular Season Round 3: Pakenham W. - Sherbrooke S. 100-66

Date: April 21, 2024
The most surprising game was a loss of Suns (2-1) on the court of Warriors on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Warriors 100-66. Pakenham W. forced 20 Sherbrooke S. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Sherbrooke S.'s players. It was a good game for Canadian guard Haille Nickerson (170, college: Memorial) who led her team to a victory with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. American center Erica Meyer (190-1997, college: Santa Clara, agency: DC Sports) contributed with 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Warriors players scored in double figures. New Zealand forward Alicia Carline (190-1993, college: Portland St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds and Miranda Gartner added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Sherbrooke S.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Warriors are looking forward to face Wyndham D. (#3) in Werribee in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Suns will play at home against Warrnambool where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
