Not a big story in a game when 8th rankedBearcats (4-10) lost to fourth ranked Sabres (10-4) in Woodville 69-80 on Saturday. Sturt S. forced 27 W.Adelaide B. turnovers. Strangely W.Adelaide B. outrebounded Sturt S. 45-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. The winners were led by guard Mia Walker-Roberts (168-2005, college: Wesleyan Coll.) who scored that evening 23 points and 5 steals and guard Nicola Mathews (173, college: App State) supported her with 12 points and 7 assists. Even 15 points and 9 rebounds by New Zealand forward Ashlee Strawbridge (185-2002, college: NM State) did not help to save the game for W.Adelaide B. . Swedish forward Elin Gustavsson (190-1993, college: Colorado St.) added 6 points and 12 rebounds. Bearcats' coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Sabres have a solid three-game winning streak. Sturt S. moved-up to third place, which they share with Manly Warr. SE and NGC Seahawks. Loser Bearcats keeps the eighth position with ten games lost.
