Regular Season Round 2: Ringwood H. - Mt Gambier 76-98

Date: March 28, 2026
Very expected game when Hawks were smashed by Mount Gambier Pioneers in Heathmont 98-76 on Saturday. Mt Gambier looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Forward Carla Pitman (178-2004) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the effort and American guard TiLan Boler (184, college: Memphis) supported her with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Mount Gambier Pioneers players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds by forward Emma Clarke (186-2000, college: Colorado) did not help to save the game for Ringwood. Swingman Taylor Mole (188-1999, college: UCSB) added 20 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Hawks' coach already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Mount Gambier Pioneers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hawks will play against Kilsyth and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
