Regular Season Round 3: Bendigo LB - Geelong U. 109-65

Lady Braves used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Geelong 109-65 on Thursday night. Bendigo dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to United 's 26. Bendigo looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Geelong U. 's players. The best player for the winners was forward Olivia Pollerd (190-2002, college: Santa Clara) who scored 45 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. The former international guard Kelly Wilson (170-1984) chipped in 7 points, 11 rebounds, 20 assists and 5 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Lilly Rotunno (170-2004) who recorded 20 points and 5 assists and American forward Reagan Bass (188, college: Purdue) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lady Braves will meet at home Knox R. (#10) in the next round. United will play against Mt Gambier and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
