There was an upset when higher ranked Spectres (4-2) lost to eleventh ranked Thunder (3-2) in East Burwood 53-70 on Sunday. Keilor T. dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Spectres's 20. Keilor T. had a 29-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Keilor T. made 7 blocks. Center Lara McSpadden (193-1999) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and forward Isobelle Wightman (180-2007) accounted for 24 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Kate Tanner (188, college: Butler) came up with 9 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Kylee Blacksten (190-2002, college: WVU) added 15 points respectively for Nunawading S. in the defeat.
