There was a minor upset in Marden where one of their biggest challengersEagles (3-4) were edged by seventh ranked Flames (3-4) 70-69 on Saturday. Norwood F. dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Eagles 's 28. The best player for the winners was American forward Cali Clark (190, college: SDSU) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Maddy Hinton (167-2005) chipped in 20 points. Four Flames players scored in double figures. Flames' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Samantha Simons (188-2000, college: SMC) who recorded 23 points and 5 assists and Jess Simons added 22 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Norwood F. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Forestville E. and Southern T.
