The biggest surprise took place in Melbourne where hostVenom (4-2) crushed league's leader Storm (3-2) 73-51 on Saturday evening. Eleanor Bollands fired 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American guard Amy Patton (178-1991, college: NAU) chipped in 6 points and 8 rebounds. Venom's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chantelle Hall produced 20 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Courtney Strait (180-1994) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Five Bellarine players scored in double figures. Venom have a solid four-game winning streak. Warrandyte V. maintains third position with 4-2 record having just one point less than leader Sherbrooke S. Bellarine at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost.
