Round 7 in NBL One means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Cranbourne where hostCavaliers (5-1) crushed league's leader Wildcats (6-2) 96-77 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Wildcats. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Casey looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American center Samantha Bowman (188, college: CWU) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Nyaduoth Lok (178-2000, agency: Crossover Management) chipped in 26 points and 6 rebounds. Five Cavaliers players scored in double figures. Lil Dart produced 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and New Zealand center Rebecca Pizzey (190-1999) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cavaliers have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Casey moved-up to second place, which they share with East Perth E. and BA CoE. Eltham W. at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They share it with Diamond VE. They were replaced at the leadership position by Sandringham S..
