Very expected game when 9th rankedMavericks (1-8) were smashed by fourth ranked Panthers (6-3) in Adelaide 100-56 on Saturday. S.Adelaide P. dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Mavericks 's 22. S.Adelaide P. forced 28 Eastern M. turnovers and outrebounded them 55-33 including a 24-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. S.Adelaide P. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Eastern M. 's players. The winners were led by Keira Gardiner who scored that evening 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and Hannah Gardiner supported her with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Four Panthers players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 5 rebounds by guard Annaliese Watkinson (175, college: Mt.St.Mary's) did not help to save the game for Eastern M. . Bella Schaftenaar added 12 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. S.Adelaide P. moved-up to third place, which they share with Ballarat M. and Woodville W. Eastern M. lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with N.Adelaide R..
