Everything went according to plan when fifth rankedFlames (5-4) defeated 8th ranked Lions (2-7) in Marden 75-58 on Saturday. Norwood F. made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American forward Cali Clark (190, college: SDSU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds and the other American import guard Ally Becki (173-2003, college: Ball St.) supported her with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Flames' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 13 points and 5 rebounds by Alana Howden did not help to save the game for C.Districts L. . Emily Winter added 14 points for the guests. Flames have a solid three-game winning streak. Norwood F. maintains fifth position with 5-4 record, which they share with Forestville E. and Mt Gambier. Loser Lions keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Geelong U. and Northern Force.
