No shocking result in a game when first rankedSabres (8-1) crushed 7th ranked Cavaliers (6-2) in Cranbourne 85-63 on Saturday. Sandringham S. outrebounded Casey 40-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. Sandringham S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by forward Klara Wischer (190-1991, college: San Diego) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and international guard Stephanie Reid (168-1996, college: Buffalo) supported her with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals. Four Sabres players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 8 rebounds by American center Samantha Bowman (188, college: CWU) did not help to save the game for Casey . New Zealand forward Sharne Robati (190-2001) added 12 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Cavaliers' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Sabres have an impressive six-game winning streak. Sandringham S. maintains first position with 8-1 record, which they share with Manly Warr. SE. Loser Cavaliers dropped to the third place with two games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
