There was a surprise result when seventeenth rankedNorthern Force (4-7) edged at home 3rd placed Diamond Valley Eagles (8-3) 92-91 on Friday. Northern Force dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Diamond Valley Eagles 's 36. Northern Force outrebounded Diamond VE 47-27 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Northern Force looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Keely Froling (188-1996, college: SMU) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists. American forward Parker Hill (193-2003, college: Princeton) chipped in a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Hill is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Northern Force players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Abbey Ellis (168-2001, college: Purdue) who recorded 41 points (!!!) and 6 assists and forward Shannon Dufficy (188-1997, college: Oregon) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively. The victory was the third consecutive win for Northern Force . They moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Hobart C. Loser Diamond Valley Eagles keeps the third position with three games lost.
