Regular Season Round 10: Nunawading S. - Sandringham S. 56-85
Date: May 23, 2026
Very predictable result in East Burwood where first rankedSabres (11-1) outscored 12th ranked Spectres (5-7) 85-56 on Saturday. Sandringham S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sandringham S. made 7 blocks. The former international Madison Ryan (185-2009) scored 27 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Stephanie Reid (168-1996, college: Buffalo) chipped in 18 points and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Kylee Blacksten (190-2002, college: WVU) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Hong Kong forward Tsz Kwan (169-1995) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sabres have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Sandringham S. maintains first position with 11-1 record. Loser Spectres keeps the twelfth place with seven games lost. Sandringham S. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nunawading S. will play against Dandenong R. (#17) and hope to secure a win.
