Regular Season Round 10: BA CoE - Hornsby S. 79-90

The biggest surprise of round 10 in NBL One was guest Hornsby S.'s (8-3) road victory over 5th ranked BA CoE (7-4) 90-79 on Sunday evening. Guard Jessie May-Hall (172-2007) fired 27 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American forward AyAnna Bey (188, college: Benedict) chipped in a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Four Spireds players scored in double figures. Guard Isabel Smith (176-2009) produced 24 points and forward Lily Mapp (185-2009) added 7 points and 13 rebounds respectively for lost side. BA CoE's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hornsby S. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Casey. BA CoE at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Warwick S.. Hornsby S. is looking forward to face Canberra N. (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BA CoE will play against Newcastle F. (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
