Regular Season Round 10: Nuggets - Hawks 94-88

The most important game in the last round took place in Dunedin between third ranked Hawks (11-5) and fifth ranked Nuggets (9-6) on Saturday night. Hawks were defeated by Nuggets in a tough game on the road 88-94. American guard Isaiah Moss (196-96, college: Kansas) fired 31 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Australian forward Geremy McKay (201-96, college: Vanguard) chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Nuggets' coach Brent Matehaere used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Devondrick Walker (196-92, college: A&M-Commerce) produced 23 points and 5 rebounds and international forward Hyrum Harris (198-96, college: Umpqua CC) added 11 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Four Nuggets and five Hawks players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains fifth position with 9-6 record. Hawks at the other side dropped to the second place with five games lost. They share the position with Sharks. Nuggets are looking forward to face league's leader Saints in Wellington in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hawks will play at home against Mountain Airs and are hoping to win this game.
