Regular Season Round 10: Jets - Huskies 66-75

Rather predictable result in Palmerston North where fourth ranked Huskies (10-6) beat 8th ranked Jets (4-11) 75-66 on Sunday. Huskies dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Jets' 24. American power forward Chris Johnson (210-85, college: LSU) had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 20 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Thomas Vodanovich (201-94, college: JMU) chipped in 20 points during the contest. Four Huskies players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Daishon Knight (185-91, college: Illinois St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward DeAndre Daniels (206-92, college: UConn) scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. Huskies have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 10-6 record. Loser Jets dropped to the ninth place with 11 games lost. Huskies will meet at home bottom-ranked Mountain Airs (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. Jets will play against the league's leader Saints and hope to secure a win.
