No shocking result in a game when leader Nuggets (6-0) beat 5th ranked Huskies (3-3) in Auckland 93-89 on Thursday. Nuggets forced 24 Huskies turnovers. American guard Jaquori McLaughlin (193-1998, college: UCSB, agency: Pensack Sports) nailed 20 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side and Australian guard Michael Harris (193-1999) accounted for 21 points. Australian guard Jarrad Weeks (183-1989) came up with 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international power forward Robert Loe (211-1991, college: St.Louis) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Huskies in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Nuggets. Defending champion maintains first place with 6-0 record. Loser Huskies dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Nuggets will meet at home Saints (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Huskies will play against Hawks (#7) and hope to secure a win.
