Regular Season Round 14: Sharks - Rams 87-96

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Rams (10-6) beat bottom-ranked Sharks (5-12) in Southland 96-87 on Thursday. Rams outrebounded Sharks 37-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Tevin Brown (196-1998, college: Murray St.) notched 24 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and international guard Walter Brown (190-2003) supported him with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Even 38 points (!!!) and 7 assists (on 16-of-20 shooting from the field) by American guard Jeremy Kendle (186-1988, college: Bellarmine) did not help to save the game for Sharks. Australian forward Grant Anticevich (206-1999, college: California) added 12 points and 11 rebounds for the hosts. Five Rams and four Sharks players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rams maintains fourth position with 10-6 record. Sharks lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. Rams will meet at home higher ranked Bulls (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Sharks will play against Giants (#6) in Stoke and hope to secure a win.
