Rather expected game when Pouakai (0-4) was defeated on the road by Queens (3-1) 92-79 on Saturday. Queens outrebounded Pouakai 46-29 including 33 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Chrislyn Carr (165, college: Louisville) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Her fellow American import forward Maya Dodson (191-1999, college: Notre Dame) chipped in 25 points and 8 rebounds. Four Queens players scored in double figures. Queens' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Jasmine Dickey (175-2000, college: Delaware, agency: LBM Management) who recorded 27 points and 8 rebounds and guard Kendell Heremaia (175-1999, college: Fordham) added 18 points and 7 assists respectively. Queens will meet at home Whai (#4) in the next round. Pouakai will play against Kahu and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
