Very important is a road loss of third ranked Queens (5-5) against fourth ranked Whai (5-5) on Thursday night. Visiting Queens were defeated by Whai in 85-68. They made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Whai players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Queens' players. Worth to mention a great performance of Austrian forward Sarah Sagerer (189-1996, college: Stetson) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds. Guard McKenna Dale (183-1999, college: Virginia) contributed with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American guard Chrislyn Carr (165, college: Louisville) answered with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Stella Beck (183-1995, college: SMC) added 17 points in the effort for Queens. Queens' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Whai moved-up to third place, which they share with Tokomanawa Q. Whai will play against league's leader Kahu in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Queens will play against the league's leader Kahu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
